Came here at around 3 in the afternoon, a very quiet time. We ordered ddeokbokki, half soy garlic chicken and a lunch box from the lunch menu. The ddeokbokki was as delicious as ddeokbokki can be, and not very spicy unlike some other restaurants, so you can fully enjoy the taste. The chicken was hot, juicy and tender, yet still crunchy on the outside. And the lunch box with bulgogi meat was delicious and very worthwhile, only $12.50 for the entire box which would fill one person up. It was only $40 in total and we were both very full, so very worthwhile. Decent service, great food.
My sister and I ended up in Glen Waverley yesterday for a super late lunch at 2pm. We hadn’t been to GW for quite sometime and was amazed to see a number of new eateries. We decided to try Ohsso.
LOCATION
Conveniently located on Kingsway where the hub of all eateries are. Parking is abundant and very close to Century City Walk should you wish to go bowling or see a movie.
SERVICE
The staff was friendly and very efficient. As we arrived around 2pm the restaurant was very empty and we were attended to quite promptly and food came out very fast as well.

I wasn’t feeling too hungry so I ordered 2 entrees and my sister ordered a soup.
Beef Brisket Roll – 5pc, $12.00
(Enoki mushroom, bean sprout, perilla leaf wrapped in beef brisket drizzled with sweet soy sauce)
Pork Steamed Mandoo, $8.50(Korean dumplings with pork, potato noodle, onions, spring onions and cabbage)
Kimchi Jjige (Pork), $13.00
(Korean spicy soup made with kimchi and pork)
PRICE
The price for the three items we ordered were quite reasonable. Definitely affordable given the quantity and size of the servings.
VERDICT
It was a lovely surprise to see the Beef Brisket Roll and Pork Steamed Mandoo to come out in a bamboo steamer basket. Nice presentation but obviously they didnt use it to actually steam the food.
Unfortunately the Beef Brisket Roll was a total let down. There was absolutely no flavour at all and the beef was over cooked making it hard to chew the meat. Even dipping it in the sauce that was provided did not help to get any flavour. The Steamed Pork Mandoo dumplings was a quite bland. My sisters Kim Chi Pork Soup was very spicy but lacked flavour. As we were both quite hungry was just ate everything and left. Overall we were very disappointed in the quality of food.
Came here to celebrate my husband birthday. Honestly very disappointed!!! The food wasnt the best quality, the dishes were quite bland and was no consistent. Some of our dishes werent hot enough and others were over cooked. The service is poor and I felt the staff werent very attentive. For the price I would have rather gone back to the Korean restaurant in Mitcham.
Love coming here for patbingsu! Although I have always wanted to try their watermelon one but its never available as its seasonal Even though its $13+ the portion is a lot even for two people! I do wish though there was more condensed milk or an option to drizzle our own condensed milk! This will be my go to dessert place to beat the summer heat
This is a fairly new place to The Glenn, its like a long narrowrestaurant, yet still spacious enough

I had the Rice Cakes (added noodles), Kimchi Pancake, Cheesy Korean fried chicken and thePatbingsu for dessert!
The Cheesy fried chicken issoooo good but I got the spicy one and you really feel it thenext morning
I got the Matcha Patbingsu with redbean and it definitely wasdifferent flavours! My friend loves it but shes had it before, it probably wont be my next choice as Im just not used to the taste
Prices are pretty reasonable too 🙂
Ohsso
What do you think when you think Korean, oh did you just say Korean bbq?… nah hunny theres a whole other world outside of it. Ohsso has bought it to a whole new level out there with Korean cuisine. To fired chicken to bimpap to Korean sushi, I honestly fell in love on first bite. Price is so reasonable considering the serving size. They were even nice enough to put chicken sauce on the side instead of coating it. This place is ohsso yummy
Ate here with a few friends.
Atmosphere seemed a bit stuffy. Might of been the pink lights on against the wall.
Service was good, polite and quick.
Foodwise – I enjoyed everything I ordered. Need to go back and try some other things now.
Not your typical korean fried chicken as this place uses a wet batter. Tasted nice though. The dumpling rice cake soup was alright, korean dumpling tasted better than a lot of other places I’ve previously have visited. Corn cheese was really nice, creamy and a nice sweetness to it but not overly sweet.
Kimchi pancake was nice too, not drenched in oil like most places. Kimbap was very refreshing.
If you haven’t already – give this place a crack!
