Have been here with Chinese friends who like the food here. The food is authentic Cantonese style – fairly standard, though the roast duck is a bit better than average – recommended for take away. There are some decorations on the walls, which is a nice touch, but the rest of the furniture feels very old and drab – plus with dim lighting I feel a little depressed eating here.

Rock Kung served authentic Chinese food. It was a pretty well-known restaurant for families. The most popular dish was the mud crab with noodles. The portion was big. The noodle and crab were tasty. The roast combination was quite good, especially the duck that was tender and juicy. The fish was very tender and easy to eat. It was served with mushrooms that were really good. The mapo tofu was a bit bland, might want to add chili oil. The mongolian beef was just ok. However, the waiters were not the friendliest, which was the issue that everyone had been mentioning.

I’ve been coming here with my family for at least 20 years I stop by here a few times a year and I remember this place is still the same since I was 5 years old. Same tables, same old style and duck hanging up in the window. Same brown table top. Love their authentic Chinese food but the price isn’t worth what it is anymore it’s a bit steep for my liking. But this place has fond memories with myself and my family this will always be a get together place for us filled with memories.

Use to come here a lot but I am disappointed at what has happened to this restaurant

It use to be a struggle to get a seat here but now its empty . But this does not mean the service is quicker , food took ages to come out and the dishes were laughable . How can you offer only prawn heads and tails in a majority prawn dish and the xo beef was not beef steak but hotpot beef … we were too scared to order more food from the kitchen after complaining so we got some roast duck and that was taken home to feed the dogs
