Under new management – Minimum chips amount is so scrummy there wasn’t even enough as a side dish for 2 kids an 2 adults, and the amount of salt – we had to wipe it off with the paper. The wait time is ridiculous and the owner who parks his car out the front in the half hour parking bays all day is seriously rubbing the locals up the wrong way. Think I’ll be making the trip to Briar Hill.
I have been coming to this fish shop for 2 years now and it’s now under new management, what can l say I’m impressed, the scallops a massive where before they were the size of a 10 cent piece and the chips a golden and crispy where before they were always over cooked, the burgers are bigger too and tastier, well done to the new owners will definitely be back every Friday night.
In new hands, the local burger and fish shop does great burgers, especially the meat patties and sesame seed buns, but the cheese is tasteless and shiny, and the chips are really bad. Chips are not crispy and golden, they are pale and soft. Fish is good too. Overall well done but room for improvement
The last 2 times we got fish and chips here we have been let down – everything isn’t cooked properly. It’s really upsetting because this place used to be amazing.
I have been ordering fish and chips from this place for years, and I have never once been disappointed. The staff are really friendly, the potato cakes are never greasy, and the chips are excellent! The flake has been a little soggy on occasions but was always still enjoyable.
I can highly recommend the fish and chips. The flake was perfectly cooked and everything was just right. And a crunchy pickled onion was very nice.
This is the best fish and chips shop in the Greensborough area. Fresh, hot and at a great price! Never disappoint!
