    Eh! Not great, not awful.
Average food overall but the grandparents like it, I think thats the demographic they’re going for.
Theres better food in this area though

Why we (6) went back to the GB I do not know. Instead of having the full menu they had a special limited mothers day menu. Way smaller than normal. Ordered some things from the displayed specials board only to be to told these were not available and that the board shouldn’t be there (the girl did not move the 2 steps to take it down after us). Ordered Lamb Shanks. $26. Arrived as 1 lamb stank which was far from hot. Told the waitress that Lamb Shanks means more than 1 and she didn’t reply. I got the feeling the staff & the chefs didn’t care about feedback or wanting to get you to come back. For $26 a total rip off. 2 friends had parma’s which were average at best for $21 (as I had finished way ahead of them they kindly gave me some of theirs).

Over the past 4 years have been here about 6 times. Once was excellent, some were average at best and now twice terrible. I won’t be back

I’ve been here several times and the meals have always been average, not bad but nothing to write home about either. I’ve found on every occasion though there’s only a couple of tables filled in what is a massive space, which I find kind of unsettling for some reason, even more so when it is days that should be busy like Mother’s Day. I’m not sure what they could do to fix this, maybe section the big room off a bit so it doesn’t seem so desolate. Staff seem friendly but almost bored as they have no customers to really serve.

Always a winner. We live in Greensborough, and for about 14 years regularly walked past the pub on the way to La Porchetta or other restaurants in Main Street.

Recently (about a year ago) decided to head up the stairs and try it, and we’ve been back at least 10 times since.

Waiting staff are friendly and helpful, although the chef seems a bit surly. He generally cooks quite well though.

For pub grub, the food is something like what you’d expect from a good quality country pub, and the prices are reasonable. Definitely better value than La P’s across the road.

Really good options are their steak or parma nights.

Very Disappointed with this Hotel. Had dinner at the Greensborough Hotel on 20th April 2015 and we were all extremely disappointed with our experience there.
Firstly it was absolutely freezing and ever person in the bistro still had their coats and scarves on. I asked if the heating could be turned up, but they said they weren’t allowed to touch it, but would turn it off. The next minute freezing cold air came gushing through vent right over our table. We quickly moved to another table and ended up leaving earlier than we intended because of how cold we were.
Most of us were also disappointed with our meals. I had chicken parmigiana which was a little tough and the chips were just warm. Two of us ordered hot chocolates and couldn’t believe it was was made with water and not milk.We also had to ask for spoons and sugar.
I’m afraid we won’t be rushing back to this hotel in a hurry.

First time here with a shop-a-docket and definitely we’ll be back.
Quick service, abundant and flavoursome meals.
We had melting beef cheeks with a red wine gravy and creamy mash and my partner had a very nice Scotch fillet with crispy chips. A friend of us had a huge chicken filo parcel with tomato and feta cheese.
    Very friendly and attentive staff.
Decor is a bit outdated but it’s not a big deal.
Way better than the Lower Plenty Hotel.
