The Quarry is in a great location with views over a river. The staff are friendly, but that’s where the positives end. Our food was of poor quality and very overpriced. We had 2 breakfasts, both with overcooked poached eggs served on stale, cheap supermarket quality white bread. The eggs were flavourless. The beef sausages were also poor quality – you get better sausages at a Bunnings sausage sizzle. The portions were generous, but when the food is of poor quality and doesn’t taste good, it doesn’t help the cause. Coffees were average, and strangely, they were served without a teaspoon. There were no spoons on the table. The Quarry feels like it’s run by back packers. Avoid!

Part of the Stony Creek shops. I have been here twice and had mixed experiences. The first one was great and of course, went back again. The second time was ho hum with staff that were indifferent and the food average. First time was steak and cooked well. Second time the steak was undercooked and when I asked for it to be cooked a little more, it came back burnt. There seemed to be no concern that I wasn’t happy. Did note that there are some excellent choices for vegetarians. Plus the side salads were good. Drinks are a little pricey but okay. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Good parking out the front. Please don’t feed to kangaroos or cockatoos that are prolific here.
