Great night. Barry and the team really looked after us. Mushroom burger was terrific. Pumpkin gnocchi was really good. Beer and wine list is comprehensive. Thanks for looking after us.
I saw a post on Facebook claiming they had the best iced coffees, a friend told me they had the best cocktails and then I heard they had a beer garden! Other than being a little tight inside, service was excellent and food was delicious. Lamb Shoulder and Gnocchi highly recommended! Wine list was a standout, if a little surprising. Great ambience at night. Will be back for cocktails!!
Excellent well priced local restaurant. Barry and team gave great service and advice; $5 happy hour cab merlot was a great suggestion over the $13 shiraz. Great steak and pasta. We will be going back. A little bit of Chapel St in Hampton!
After reading other reviews I feel like I went to a different restaurant. Made a booking 2 weeks before but no table was reserved & they squeezed us in opposite the kitchen. They asked us if we were ready to order about 30 seconds after getting the menu. We asked for chips as an entree but they came out pretty much the same time as our mains (which was pasta so not a good accompaniment). My meal – meatballs & tomato was pretty tasteless. Shame as I had been excited to try a new local eatery.
Fantastics new option in Hampton with some very talented chef’s in the kitchen, one too look out for. Really enjoyed our meal. A great addition to the local area, and looking forward to our next visit.
This was a decent experience but a few things let it down for the group of four I was there with. We waited ages to get a drinks menu, the shared starter took over 30 minutes and the waitress seemed to have no idea what she was doing. On the flipside… The food was great and the other staff was super friendly. I would go back to see if this was one off
My partner and I have been to Canoe Canoe a number of times now, and really love it. Fantastic atmosphere, great price point, lovely wine list and beautiful menu. Its exactly what the area needs – a comfortable, accessible restaurant. I have brought interstate and international friends to Canoe Canoe and think it represents Melbourne, and the beachside culture really well.
