Had the high tea recently. It was a tad expensive for what it was, however the food selection was tasty – both savoury and sweet options were flavourful. The high tea stands weren’t terribly elegant (made from wood pieces).
Closed when it should be open, great help

A surprise lunchtime find. After a lovely greeting I chose the express $15 lunch , a soup of the day pastry and coffee. The soup was a spiced pumpkin, really yummy and a nice size, I chose a lemon tart and a really nice double shot flat white, great service really enjoyable and I’ll be back for sure.
Beautiful cabinet, full of French flair. The tarts were absolutely delicious and the croissants looked amazing. Will definitely be back to try out some more products. The take home box was so colourful. Inviting shop
Don’t be put off by this ordinary looking cafe- it’s not swish and in the middle of the cool part of Hampton Street, but the cakes and pastries are extraordinary! A real treat – very French! Magnifique! Merci!!!
Top quality pastries and cakes , I love their almond croissant . They also use Toby Estate coffee which in my opinion is just about unbeatable when made by a good barista which Gateaux have. Would recommend .
Some high quality french patisserie going on there! The brioche is just to die for and the scone melts in your mouth with the homemade jam and fluffy cream! Very friendly staff and owners, makes you feel at home! They only need to improve their coffee to make this place perfect!
