This cafe is absolutely amazing. My whole family adores it.
The people working there are so friendly and really prioritise customer service. Its really heartwarming because they treat you like their friends.
The whole cafe has a really cosy vibe, perfect for the days where you just want to chill out and relax with a cup of coffee.
The food is delicious and absolutely worth the price. The coffee is really smooth and the pastries are absolutely delicious.
If youre looking for somewhere that feels comfortable, welcoming and homey, then this is the place to go.
Great little cafe with a fresh and nice little range of choices to eat. Their pasteries are always fresh too! Great prices for the area too as the street has some overpriced cafes on it!
Pretty handy cafe. Very relaxed and friendly staff. Coffee was great! Plenty of seating inside and also a few out on the sidewalk.
They also had a number of newspapers on hand – nothing worse than when a cafe has 1 newspaper between 15 people…
Didn’t try the food but no doubt will soon!
I love this place – the owners are young, full of vigor and a delight, the food is all home made and great, even the french pastries are home made, you can’t go past an almond croissant, it’s a delightful little spot, nothing pretentious here
I was pleasantly surprised to see this place open on monday afternoon at 5pm. They actually had some food available too. Im not really a sandwich kind of guy but I opted the schnitzel as there wasnt much else since it was so late in the day. It was impressive and the coffee was really good too.
What a shame. Super disappointed to return to my once loved cafe to find it had obviously changed hands – to its detriment. The first thing I noticed was floor was filthy – it’s winter though I told myself so overlooked it. Then as I ordered my coffee I noticed the kitchen was equally as dirty, as was the bench which held the coffee machine and till. I ordered my coffee from a polite enough girl and sat down on one of the tables by the window. By now I have realised the atmosphere is totally different to what it used to be, empty, flat and boring. Coffee is ok but not the best and listening to a lovers tiff between the staff made it difficult to enjoy. They then stood talking in the kitchen, while there was obviously a lot of cleaning to do. Granted I have lived out of Melbourne for 3.5 years but having a delicious Melbourne Coffee from HC was on my must-do list when I returned. I know what this cafe is capable of and definitely know the competition is fierce. Get back up to scratch HC!
