Taking into account that this is all you can eat for $32.80 per person, the value here is unbeatable. I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the dishes, but was I proven wrong!
Our group of 7 threw caution in the wind and didn’t bother to keep tab of what we had ordered. Food, come at us! As we had so many dishes, I’ll just mentioned some of the highlights for me.
First and foremost, the sashimi and prawns were very fresh, and so was the nigiri. The beef carpaccio came with a delicious dressing and fresh salad, and if it was sliced more thinly so that it melts in the mouth, it would have been perfect.The tempura was coated in crispy and thin batter, and the potato croquettes was beautifully crumbed. The grilled squid was cooked to perfection, albeit being overpowered by the rather sweet sauce.
While not all dishes nailed both execution and taste, a number of them did, and that was pretty impressive given the circumstances. The only exception was the ice cream which failed in both texture (not creamy) and taste (flavour too subtle).
The service was friendly, and dishes arrived fairly quickly. We didn’t had to chase up for any of the dishes, and the generous serving sizes are meant to fill you up quickly so don’t fall for their trick. Tip – you can choose the serving size for the sashimi and sushi platter.
