This is the place that is the best Indian food for miles as all the expense has been put into the food not the decor ! You can’t eat looks but you can eat the result of some serious food knowledge . When you see others in the area which are all glitz and glamour then you realize why the portions are small and expensive !
Go Prakash !
Started coming here after one night we couldn’t get in our usual favourite in Hampton, Roti Boti. Whilst not quite as sophisticated as the other, the food is very well priced and tasty. Quick service, friendly staff, and a great menu.
I’m very lucky I’m next door to this place. Probably the only restaurant that’s not overpriced in all of Hampton and yet one of the best. I’ve had about a quarter of the menu and it’s all been excellent.
My favourite is the mango chicken (hot), but all dishes are great. I love how cardamon features in many of their curries.
The breads are not amazing but good enough. It’s my only regular after living in Hampton for 5 months.
Best Indian in Bayside and I’ve tried them all! Personal recommendations are Lamb Kadhi and the Chicken Tikka Butter Marsala. Go the Medium I reckon! Fast and friendly takeaway service.
Doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food is great. Big fan of the Chicken Tikka Butter Marsala. It’s a winner every time. Kadai Lamb is also great but every now and then it’s a little on the dry side.
Don’t be fooled by the simple exterior, the food here is OUTSTANDING!! Went to Rashi for the first time for a late lunch today (open for lunch on Friday or by booking). We were warmly greeted by the lovely owner, Prakash (who is a qualified chef with over 20 years experience in the kitchen). The restaurant was very clean inside 🙂 My mother and I have eaten a lot of Indian food and would say that Rashi is the best we’ve EVER had!! Mum had Beef Korma which was fragrant and delicious and I had Chicken Saag which was equally so. The amount of meat in the dishes was very generous for $14.50 and so tender!! The sauces were also to die for- not at all greasy like some other Indian restaurants and very different in flavour. Even the rice was fluffy and yummy (and I don’t normally eat rice!) Mum had a mango lassi which she said was the nicest she has ever had! We didn’t drink but can’t wait to go back for dinner because it’s BYO and licensed- wine by the glass/spirits are only $6/each. Prakash is just delightful and his restaurant is an absolute credit to him 🙂 must try!!
This is my go to for Indian in Hampton. Recommendation is the butter chicken and green spinach potatoes.
