Weve been ordering pizza from here for over 10 years. They have always been consistent with a thin crust and not shy with the toppings, especially with the fancy style pizzas that are around now. So if you want a pizza to dig your teeth into you will not be sorry.
Two pizzas delivered. Arrived relatively promptly. Driver apologised for being late (although he probably wasn’t). Price was also acceptable.
Pizzas even looked really good (despite needing some time in the oven to heat up) and had a good helping of cheese.
What I didn’t expect was the lack of flavour. I’m not sure how you take pizza dough, salami, mushroom, capsicum, tomato and cheese and make it taste like nothing. It was like eating void… chewy void though. If there hadn’t been chilli on mine I doubt I would have tasted anything at all.
Perhaps they need to substitute some of the cheese for other toppings… mozzarella isn’t the most flavoursome of cheeses.
I’ve been ordering from Auburn Road pizza for around 12 years. Better than fancier places. Simple, homely, tasty! The bbq sauce is amazing!!! I don’t want to move out of the area because I don’t want to not have access to their pizza.
Good thing about this place is that it stays open till 11pm.
Pizzas are ok.
Once they added heaps of chilli flakes assuming that me being an Indian would love so much of the chilli flakes.
But no other complaints.
Pretty average pizza, service wasn’t bad but wasn’t what I’d call good either, you could get the same quality of pizza pretty much anywhere but you might get a smile too if you go elsewhere.
It must be really hard to be an old fashioned take away pizza joint when all around you the quality is getting better. Pizza is OK, the service is pleasant and prices OK but toppings are simple and old style.
Having been ordering pizzas from here for 10 years…so consistent so excellent …best pizza in Hawthorn, by far. Try the Auburn Road Special or throw some salami onto their Margarita – awesome!!
