Wow, this has just become my new favourite Mexican joint! Super fresh and all the serving sizes are value for money. Decided to go meat free here and lots of veggie options! Definitely bring your mates here

La Cabra’s food, like most Mexican options in Melbourne is pretty good. A fairly standard selection of tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas and burritos are on offer. The strength of La Carba really lies in the atmosphere La Cabra with its nice outdoor dining area around the back, as well as live music! On a Sunday night! Uncanny. The sunny evening may have had a major part to play in the vibes. We opted for the spicy chicken quesedilla, the beef enchilada and the tortilla crisps (i.e. nachos). The quesedilla was my favourite, with spicy chicken as advertised and some lovely garlic aioli on the side to reinforce the flavour. The beef enchilada was decent, but would be improved with pulled beef or beef strips replacing the minced beef that was present. The tortilla crisps, while good, got soggy quite quickly, so eat them while they’re hot. Certainly not the GOAT but still really good and well worth a visit.

“It’s Getting Hot In Here” (tequila, jalapeno syrup, mango & lemon). Pretty spicy!. Taco Tuesday $5 tacos. I had a fish taco (with papaya slaw and jalapeno salsa) and a shrimp taco (with pickled onion, pico, sour cream and guac). Scott had a beef taco (with lettuce, cheese, pickled onion and bbq sauce) and a pork taco (with pickled vegetables, mayo, pineapple and pico).

Really nice modern Mexican in the heart of Camberwell. Service was very friendly and quite quick. There is a small seated area in the front, and a 2 level beer garden out the back. I’ve eaten a lot of Mexican corn and that would have to be one of the best! Entrees were so good and mains also. Well priced, nothing to fault. Friendly service too!

Food is decent enough, the portions are quite small and the prices high. The drink prices are unbelievable. For a tall and thin glass of coke, it’s $5. It’s not even a full can. I couldn’t believe it when it came out, it couldn’t have been more than half a can. Really disappointing as the food is good. But I wouldn’t return as I feel this place i just a rip off.
