Nice little bar atop the Rivoli cinema. Theres nothing 40s about it apart from being above a 40s building. Weve been coming here for several years. Its a lovely late afternoon spot on a warm day after a good movie. Nice G&T. Usually has good staff on. Recommended.
Good place to sit, chill and drink either pre or post-movie at this rooftop bar; reasonable price and range of drinks. Can get a bit chilly as the patio heaters doesn’t warm up the place much but gorgeous on a sunny day.
It was a warm afternoon so we headed to see a film at the Rivoli. While there we took the opportunity to check out the newish rooftop bar located on level 1 in the classic Art Deco building that houses the theatre. You get a reasonably lofty view of the camberwell from the seats and bar stools.
They have a range of beers, wines and cocktails at typical Melbourne prices… think gold class prices but Id rather spend $20 sit outside in pleasant surrounds than a similar amount downstairs buying Cho tops and soft drink.
This was the first time weve been to the cinema and its been open so not sure when their opening hours are.
