Worst high tea ever. I came here on a scoopon voucher and the portions are tiny. We got 1 bite sized beef pie, one bite sized chicken pie, 2 rock hard microwaved scones, some bread and french fries – yep french fries to fill up the very bare looking tiered plates. We left feeling very hungry and went to nearby bakery to grab some real food. Even with the $25 voucher for 2 it is way over priced for the food you get.
Pinki Pinki is beautifully decorated and the owner is absolutely lovely. He couldn’t have been more accommodating. My friend and I asked for half vegetarian and half meat high tea and this was no problem. I’m not sure why other people are complaining about the portions because for me and my friend, it was the perfect amount. We got one Turkish delight tea and another lavender, both were delicious. The owner kept filling up our pots too. Unfortuntely, we were the only ones in the cafe the entire time. I think that must just have something to do with the location, as it is off the main street. I will definitely be going back there, especially because high tea is only $20 each.
I gave a voucher to my mum and her partner as a gift that was for the Pinky Pinky High Tea. I was so disappointment when she returned and said that it was absolutely terrible. She mentioned that the portions were embarrassing and not even enough to feed one person. The serving sizes were very stingy and not worth the money. They brought out plenty of tea but not much food. She said when you looked at the menu the choices appear to be enough to satisfy but it is very misleading. The place was empty and they were the only ones there. For $22 a head you can go somewhere for a lovely breakfast or lunch and enjoy your meal. A high tea is supposed to be an experience to remember including being satisfied with the food. My mum just felt lucky not to have invited one of her friends as she said she would have been very embarrassed. I would advise anyone thinking of going here to look elsewhere as there are many other High Tea’s that pay more attention to the experience side of things.
