Being relatively novice to Chinese cuisine, this place really surprised me and hit the taste buds at all the right places. I was stumped by the quality and quantity of dishes served. I had the alleyway secret pot, and my oh my, the flavours burst in my mouth and was literally the best pot I ever had. I am going to come to this place and try the chef special to get surprised again. Lovely little cozy place , and a great food destination. The service was impeccable and simply loved the aroma of the dishes served. A perfect experience for me and my friends.
The duck stew with potatoes and fried silver white fish is soooooo damn good because it tastes the same as what my grandparents used to cook for me at home. If you are so sick of sweet sour pork, sweet black bean beef, honey chicken, etc, this is the one you really need to try. I’m finally satisfied by dishes that are cooked by authentic northern Chinese chefs.
Another authentic northern Chinese takeaway kitchen. The shop is small but the dishes are full of flavour. You can have spicy or non-spicy with almost all of the dishes. The best thing is all meat is halal.
This little place is the newest local gem added onto Glenferrie Rd. I’ve been back twice in one week! Very very authentic Chinese cuisine you won’t go wrong with. Generous serving size, also reasonably priced. The staff are so nice, friendly and accommodating. They also do home delivery.
They use zero MSG in their food not only great for those who are allergic to it, but also healthier and leaves you feeling comfortable and not thirsty.
Strongly recommend their duck pot. It has the perfect duck meat and braised potato texture combined with a delicious taste. The sauce goes perfectly with rice too.
Overall highly satisfied with this new place. Very convenient location – close to Safeway, Swinburne uni and the station. Will be back to try more things on their menu!
Love this new place! Can’t believe our dishes tasted SO good! Spoke to the girl at the counter and was told the chief has 20years of experience in various restaurant/takeaway! Will definitely be back and so close to Safeway!!!
I discovered this takeaway on Saturday.
Popular spot for people working/living around the area and with Safeway shopping just steps away!!! So convenient (bonus)! You can’t go wrong with this beef noodle soup. The beef is tender and not dry and the soup is just right and not salty. Great for people with high blood pressure and can’t eat too much salt. The main salty flavour is from the stewed beef, amazing cook! Will definitely re-visit!
