Very quick and delicious Thai, the best in the area. Its really best for take away as the dining area is pretty basic and they charge for doggy bag containers which is never nice for single frugal people who like leftovers for lunch the next day. I think I need to take my own containers ! Sorry I digress…

The best Thai food dollar for dollar in Melbourne. My only problem is I havent been able to get further into the menu then their famous yellow curry. Its delicious. Cheap and cheerful and always dependable for a great feed! Happy to eat in, its pleasant enough or takeaway. If youre not super hungry the yellow curry can almost be split between two, with a decent helping of rice.

Definitely my favorite Thai food in the area. Every dish we order is always just delightful! The Penang curry is one of my favs. And the pad Thai and pad see ew are always delicious too. If you like Thai food, this is definitely the place to try if youre around hawthorn!

This place is geared more towards people ordering for takeaway, with only a few tables inside.
We had the Gai Tamarind and Beef Pad See Ew. Sweetness of the Gai Tamarind is overpowering, too sweet for my liking. It was a good thing we ordered the Pad See Ew, to help balance the sweet and savoury flavours out.
They were also very generous with the amount of beef in the Pad See Ew. Beef was tender and plentiful, and overall had a good flavour.

I reckon it’s the best Thai food place in melbourne.. been going there for the last 7 or 8 years and it’s still the same. The quality and quantity of food hasn’t changed throughout the years.

I am extremely fussy when it comes to being satisfied with thai food. While i love the basic flavours and fresh coriander is basically my boyfriend, you could still use all thai ingredients liberally and come up with something very bland, and this happens so often when i order thai. So I was quite surprised with the depth of flavours when I ordered take away from this joint. So far we tried some of the curries, noodles and a few starters and everything has been very satisfying. Sure the pad thai could use a few more prawns but it is still my numero uno for take away.

Even though the management has supposedly stayed the same, Auburn Thai (previously Saffron Thai) used to be my favourite Thai place- especially the Drunk Chicken noodles (similar to a Pad Kee Mao). However, more recently the standard has really dropped. Noodles were soggy and only had two pieces of vegetables in the whole dish. Chicken also had bits of black dirt on them. Tasted terrible compared to what it used to be.

Also bought some roti and staff forgot the sauce. Won’t be going back unfortunately.
