I’ve only ever had the baguette rolls here, and they are fantastic. Towards the front of the counter, there’s some pieces of papers with ingredients, you simply fill it in with your preferred order. The whole baguettes are huge. Can get a range of old school Italian meats (hot salami, proscuitto) my fav is the basil pesto and kalamata olives as well & swiss cheese. Service is very friendly, the old Italian guy quite talkative.My only pet peeve and downgrade is that they don’t use gloves when making your sandwich, which is slighly offputting. Otherwise my review would be 4 stars.
This was one of my personal lunch favourites when I worked in the area. The idea is perfect – choose your fillings and the deli will make a roll for you full of delicious meats/cheeses/veg. We called it deli roll, Im not sure what others call it but whatever it is called its delicious!

Continental Deli is not your typical deli. Tucked away in the Glenferrie Centre arcade opposite Woolworths. The half baguette rolls are to die for. Must try fillings: hot salami, prosciutto, mushroom, eggplant, basil pesto and capsicum pesto. Staff are always friendly, especially the old man. To avoid disappointment, ring to reserve your rolls with your choice of fillings as they sell out pretty fast!
