I appreciated how happy the staff were to give samples to try 🙂 I had the strawberry watermelon which had a very realistic and fresh flavour, while also being slightly creamy.
Heard so much about Piccolinas amazing gelato so I was finally able to give it a try whilst I was in the area. Despite the tiny venue and the cold winter weather, there were still quite a number of customers enjoying their freshly made gelato inside.
The girl serving me was extremely friendly and gave us recommendations on their most popular flavours. We ended up getting two double scoops – one of pistachio & coffee, one of honeycomb & peanut butter (special). All the flavours were AMAZING – you can seriously taste the freshness of the gelato and the house made ingredients really make it extraordinary.
Do yourself a favour and get their PISTACHIO – this is honestly the best pistachio gelato Ive ever had! The pistachio flavour is so strong – you can really tell that they packed a LOT of pistachio in there! Its almost salty in a way, but definitely our favourite flavour.
The peanut butter (special) was also mind-blowing. Youd think peanut butter would be heavy and indulgent, however they make it super light and fresh without losing any of that strong peanut butter flavour.
If you havent tried Piccolina yet, youre definitely missing out. Id say its on the same level as some of Melbournes most well-known gelato stores likes Pidapipo and Messina (and that pistachio is of course beyond all of them).
I was fortunate enough to win a 1L tub of gelato from Piccolina Gelateria via an Instagram competition.
A 1L tub entitles you to to select up to three flavours, I opted for the Better than Nutella, white chocolate and peanut butter & choc chip. I loved all the flavours we tried, so smooth and creamy without being to sweet, it was just divine.
Piccolina is one of my favourite gelato shops in Melbourne. I give them out 5 and recommend that you check them out.
Delicious!! Its so delicious its addictive, I was lucky to visit on a warm day when there was no queues. I highly recommend one of the best quality gelato in Melbourne.
Piccolina is amazing. I had their Pistachio and Stracciatella, which I really loved. The staff actually let me try various flavours before I got the two flavours. It was hard to decide, but Im keen to come back to have some more of those flavours.
Ive also been eating PB+J toastie with their strawberry jam they sell in store, its yummy.
