Tenkyu is a cosy Japanese eatery located along Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn specialising in tempura and teppanyaki.Visiting for dinner I couldn’t go past the teppanyaki seafood combo featuring salmon, scallops, prawns and the signature yum yum sauce. The salmon was a little more cooked than I prefer however the scallops more than made up for this. I couldn’t get enough of them and they worked beautifully with the aptly named creamy yum yum sauce. Although I ordered the most expensive dish on the menu, everything is reasonably priced and they have a number of specials that offer good value.Overall I enjoyed my meal at Tenkyu, the service was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious. I give Tenkyu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 and recommend you check them out if you’re in the area.
