Beautiful light and spacious atmosphere, delightful service and great food! We had the teriyaki chicken burger and porterhouse steak sanga, both were just perfect. The Jungle Juice was also very refreshing!

Bright, leafy and warm – those were the good vibes that Zoobibi exudes. Upon entry, you’ll be greeted by friendly team members and abundant sunshine. The other half of the Zoobibi store displays modern home ware and home decorations for sale.

Lucky enough, my partner and I manage to snag a table right next to the water feature in the middle; the skylight was above us so there’s plenty of warm sunlight. While waiting, we browsed some of the items they have for sale; a good way to kill time while waiting for our brunch dishes.

Both of us ordered the Persian Baked Eggs and Salmon Eggs (Poached Eggs); coffee ordered were Soy Chai and Latte. The waiting time for the dishes were good – roughly 10-15 minutes. I liked my Baked Eggs dish! It was balanced (it can often have an overpowering tomato taste) and the eggs were perfectly cooked (it was still half boiled!); the baked eggs were accompanied by 3 bite-sized slices of sour dough; I might add Feta Cheese to it next time to give it a cheesier kick. My partner enjoyed his Salmon eggs too! The poached eggs were utterly well cooked and complemented well with the Smoked Salmon. Did I also mention how photogenic this cafe was especially with its marble tables and open plan layout?

The only downside of Zoobibi, in my opinion anyway, would be the very limited number of tables for seating. It seems like half of the tables are communal, leaving only about 4-5 individual tables. I would highly recommend they place more individual tables for the comfort of seating customers. Zoobibi feels like a cafe where I can always swing by to have a nice long brunch, relax and have a great catch up with loved ones. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We came here (on a sunny Saturday afternoon) for some brunch. (The breakfast menu is all-day, yay!) On one hand, I found the interior really nice, modern and big. On the other hand, the space is divided into half – one side being the cafe and the other side selling furniture/ kitchenware/ cook books etc… theres actually no proper tables for two people (if you plan on eating as well as drinking). There are two big communal tables and the middle section has tables where families/ bigger groups get priority seating.
We ended up sitting at the bar (only choice) where the sun was really bright (the natural light shining through the sun roofs). Yes, who doesnt like some indoor sunlight? But when youre sitting in direct sunlight, it really does hurt your eyes trying to read the menus. Fortunately we had our sunglasses on for the most part (as did the pair sitting next to us at the bar). P.S, try not to sit at the end of the bar as the kitchen sink is in clear view and the flies are attracted to that area for some reason.
Now, to the food and drinks. We enjoyed the coffee (by Padre) and the Jungle Juice was refreshing and fruity.
We ordered the Smashed Avo and the Orange Blossom Cake. Our main critique would be that the ratio was off for both dishes. The smashed avo should have more avo on the plate and less feta. The orange blossom cake needed more pancake or vanilla mascarpone and less blueberry lime compote. Most of the ingredients on their own were nice though. The multigrain toast for the smashed avo was fairly hard and burnt on the edges. Overall, nice ambience, really friendly staff (love how multicultural the team is) and food is okay.
