Friendly staff but understaffed tonight. I waited a bit but they apologised with a smile on their face, but it was totally worth it. The batter on the flake was crunchy and soft at the same time. I will be coming back again with my family, when I am in the area.
The staff was friendly but the fish was oily and prawn was under cooked. Inside the prawn was Flour. It was bad experience and never come again.
Arriving an hour before closing, I was the last person to be served before the moving masses of enthusiasm behind the counter turned the backlit menu boards off without so much as an explanation. Several people ahead of me in the queue left when they discovered Chips Ahoy had sold out of flake, burgers and more. Fortunately the vege kebab was still on, and satisfied The Vegetarian. Unfortunately my option of blue grenadier was greasy and batter was soggy. The complete opposite was the case with my South Melbourne dim sim which had been…..cremated…. in oil. Inedible. Chips were good.
The battered hamburger has changed my life. South Melbourne dim sims were always going to be in my order although a bit over cooked. Chips were basic. Batter was great on the fish. Service was disappointing, but I think it was only the guy serving me and not the culture of the shop. Someone couldn’t tell the difference between a corn jack and a Chiko roll, so I will be checking my order before I leave next time.
Delicious fish and chips, generous portions. We try to come here at least once a fortnight because the quality of the fish and chips is usually consistent and the staff are so lovely. Would recommend the flake, the barramundi and also the potato cakes – not just batter but actual potato! Price reasonable and servings generous, love this place .
Yummy. Staff are lovely& service is quick.
never disappoints this family of 5, always fresh and tasty! our kids love it! even better that its in the most convenient place with the parking.
Takeaway of choice in Healesville!. Battered Barramundi, potato cakes and lamb souvlaki were absolutely delicious!!!! Quick, friendly service and fresh food for reasonable price. Enjoyed very much.
