Friendly service but crap food. Flavourless and old. Chips were cooked in old oil and brisket was fatty and lacked flavour. Burger was flavourless too and bun was straight from the fridge as was the brisket. Wouldnt come back.
Tried the brisket burger and the pulled pork burger. Plates were stone cold, the burger buns were untoasted, a little stale and also stone cold, the coleslaw had no flavour and while the brisket and pork were smoked well (Not dry), they too were flavourless, and comprised very little of the actual bun. All in all the burgers were simply cold, flavourless and unpleasant. Saying that you smoke your meat low and slow with Australian hardwood is great and all – but hot plates and warm toasted buns should be step 1 and step 2. Ensuring your food is flavourful is another important step that’s been overlooked here.
Since these other reviews from several months ago mention the exact same problems, I get the feeling this restaurant is content serving up bad food to hungry tourists at a price point which gets you far, far better barbecue elsewhere. A restaurant that uses cold plates, cold/stale burger buns and flavourless ingredients is not going to result in a decent meal. If you’re hungry in Healesville just go elsewhere.

Advertising flame grilled chicken I was so ready for lemon and salt and just basic flavour to hit my taste buds, was a let down. My partner got the loaded fries and the pulled beef and pork which were cold and literally soggy. Like it had been cooked before hand and boiled back to life for service. Plus the fat to meat ratio was hurtful. Chips were nice and so were the staff. All in all we were so pumped for American slow cooked pulled greatness but we were massively let down
