After a relaxing stroll down to Herd we came across this unique space from a recommendation earlier in the day.
What a disappointment. We decided to order drinks before deciding whether to dine in. We chose 3 cocktails and paid. After waiting 10 minutes our first cocktail arrived without a straw and was incorrect. On enquiry of this we were told we have run out of straws which if is the case we should be told once we order because drinking a built iced cocktail can be messy and annoying. 5 minutes later our second cocktail arrived. 5 minutes after that our third cocktail arrived which was incorrect again and informed the waiter. We were briskly told that we ordered with the girl didnt you? And yes we did but then we heard a conversation at the bar a minute later between waiters did you check with them on the last cocktail? Obviously not.
Service is important and we felt this was lacking. The space has a nice vibe but so many other elements are lacking.
The Barman with the accent was charismatic, friendly and tried to recover from these mistakes.
Having owned a bar ourselves, service can make you or break you. Hopefully this feedback is helpful.
