A very friendly jovial couple look after your every need , even for a chat. Great quality ingredient’s and a good serving size. A Highlight was caper berries with their ploughman’s meal and fine cheeses.Although on a corner location it is somewhat hidden behind lush foliage sheltering the 6 or so table on the veranda and another 6 in the homes dinning room. I believe they also have a court yard in this converted caf home. My first thoughts were to go to the highly rated bakery next door , but it was rather crowded and no seating. Im rather glad we came here instead, so nice and so personal.

This cafe appeared to look inviting from first impressions & the menu was simple yet good.
We ordered a Devonshire tea which was just ok, the scones were dry & a tad over cooked. Tea was nice though.
One thing we did not appreciate is the service which came across as unwelcoming & unimpressed that we were there. The staff treated the regulars differently to us who were visiting for the day. We felt brushed off & had a gut feeling it had to do with our ethnicity. The town I must say also gave off the same vibe. Melbourne is a multicultural city, so please respect people who call this place home too.
