I stop in here every now and then when I’m out that side of town. There’s a few nice beers on tap. Good atmosphere inside and out, friendly service, pretty good pub food. Can’t complain. I’ll keep coming back for sure.
It was a lovely drive via the hills across to the Tooborac pub on the sunny Sunday.The craft beer paddles were well received by the craft beer loving bloke. The rabbit pie was wonderful – filled with juicy, fragrant bunny in a flaky pastry. The Tooby steak baguette wasn’t as good, although the flavour was good, the steak was thin, sinewy and cooked far too long.Went home with some frozen bunny pies from the bakery next door.
We love our visits to this ripper country pub. From the friendly staff, excellent beers from the onsite brewery and the great pub food, it’s an all round great driving destination. Their pies are worth the visit alone and we don’t leave without a few frozen versions to have again at home.
