Great place if you have 2 people for dinner but not more than that. There were 3 of us having dinner and were put in a tiny booth sitting very close to the next table who were very loud. Not good for claustrophobic people like me. The noise bounces off the walls and in the end we were yelling at each other because we couldnt hear ourselves speak. I tried the chicken vermicelli. The chicken was well-cooked but the dish lacked the flavour I associate with Vietnames food: lacked spice lacked punch lacked sourness lacked savouriness. The hanoi spring rolls were flavourful and crispy. The pork belly and betel leaf was a little too sweet for my taste. I would go back if I was alone or if I was with 1 friend and Id sit at the bar but not if I am with more people.

There is a good place for dining or drinker
Food is not bad but finger food always sold out
Location really good, you can take train or drive car to park in Woolworth car park.
When they are busy you have to be a lot of patient,
Service is not really good, sometimes you can see slowly, maybe new staff or lazy worker,I don’t know
Every body love there hope they getting better
If you wanna phone call for booking or takeaway
You have to be patient as well
Because sometimes NO BODY pick up the phone

Never Again. We were asked if we wanted the bill 4 times as they had people waiting. Table for 4 and they only had one menu. Waitresses were all new so had no idea about the menu or the types of beer available. Decided to go next door to get our beer. Wouldn’t allow BYO even when we offered $20 corkage per bottle. Wine list average. Wont last. Worst dining experience I can remember in the last 10 years.

My usual pho at a Vietnamese restaurant costs half the price of that at typhoon. I really don’t mind paying extra for great ambience and service. Ambience fine but I feel like service from some of the staff (other than the actual business owners) is a bit of a let down. On various occasions I’ve had to repeatedly request for fresh chilli because they never followed up – and this happened on more than one occasion!

One of the best places to find delicious Pho. Cosy place, tucked away in Highett. Being vegan, it was lovely to find a place which catered so well to our needs. The spring rolls were lovely however, the highlight with the Pho: the vegetables and noodles were so fresh/delicious and the serve was very generous. Service was very prompt and attentive. I would recommend their Vegetarian (vegan) Pho to anyone.

There are not many Vietnamese places in Bayside, so Typhoon was a welcomed sight. Been here a few times now, some dishes are great, others are average. Pho is tasty but I’d prefer all my herbs, bean shoots, chilli etc on the side so I can decide what I want to put in rather than them all coming in it. Spring rolls are tasty but always too oily for my liking (a bit more patting from paper towel perhaps). Rice paper rolls are very average and need to be fancied up. They taste plain and lack variety in flavours. I’ll keep coming back because its local and the service is friendly but I hope the menu gets more variety sooner rather than later.
