My first time trying cheesecake on a stick and funnel cake and it was so enjoyable ! I also tried the unicorn cannoli which I loved- the cannoli was so crunchy and the filling was the perfect balance of flavours and not too sweet.

I have been wanting to venture over to Sweet Street Desserts but its quite a drive from Box Hill so was stoked to find out they making a pop up appearance at the Hank Marvin Markets in Brighton East. Today we met owner Joey who has created some amazing street style desserts and tried a selection of these including cheesecake on a stick, funnel cakes and unicorn cannoli.

My first funnel cake experience and what a delight!!! it was light batter and oh so crunchy, less dense than a waffle, but with an awesome crunch. I loved the sprinkle topping and fairy floss and it took me back to childhood birthday parties.

The unicorn cannoli was made with a hyper crisp shell and a delightful multi coloured filling and was a serious sugar rush. You could also get a custard filled cannoli it that was your thing but my money was on the unicorn version for sure.

In our opinion the most incredible taste experience was the golden gaytime frozen cheese cake on a stick. We watched this being assembled with the home made New York style baked cheesecake dipped in chocolate then layered biscuit and a caramel sauce. The taste was where just sublime. Loved the crack of the thick chocolate which just completed each mouthful.

Apparently the range of options are more extensive out West. You would be so lucky if you lived near by. Thanks so much for letting us come and try these great desserts.

At my daughters request, we came here last week and can definitely say it was worth the drive, even from the south east suburbs. This is a marquee stall but they have a very spacious indoor seating area, which is great for families.
The cheesecakes are just delicious! They’re homemade and you can watch the staff cover each slice in melted chocolate and decorate it right in front of you. The Oreo flavour was our favourite, they’re VERY generous with the toppings and sauce!

Super friendly service, very reasonable prices and lots of flavours to choose from! This is definitely a dessert lovers’ paradise!
