We were sad to see Zest go and were a bit wary of this new place and one day thought why not! We are glad we did We were very pleasantly surprised ! The Jack Daniels braised pulled leg of lamb and the wild barramundi fillets were just perfect. Steamed Chinese broccoli is my favourite! Prawn on crispy toast is nice but doesn’t have the same naughtiness as other places the pieces are small and you only get 3 in a serve. We also tried the Shanghai pork and that gets a thumbs up! The main serves are a good size and the serves ‘on rice’ still have a decent serve and give you some veggies too. We will definitely be back for more!
Was really looking forward to trying and supporting something local. Ordered the Hokkien noodles without chicken as we don’t eat meat (menu: stir fried chicken fillets/ fish cakes/ fresh vegetables/ prawns/ egg on egg rice noodles) – Also ordered pan fried north Atlantic prawn dumplings. $26
The first noodles arrived …. after a couple of mouthfuls I realised it had beef in It!
I took it back, they cooked another.
It had no flavour. A few shriveled chewy prawns/carrot/ zucchini/ bok choy thrown in & that was it. No egg or fishcake.
The dumplings were bland undercooked and doughy.
Sadly I won’t be back.
