Im always on the lookout for some good bread and I love organic food so when I saw this bakery it was a no brainer!
The service was friendly and genuine which is always a winner for me.
I brought some pumpkin bread w pumpkin seeds and this is delicious, just perfect! And I brought a dark rye bread roll which was equally as good. And they sell vegan cakes for $8 each.
This place is a must visit if you like great organic bread that is lol.

This is not sourdough I’ve had better bread from Coles! Please do yourselves a favour and shop elsewhere I’ll continue driving to Carlton for my real sourdough the sausage rolls are nice enough service is a tad rude from the mature lady in glasses. What a shame
Not as hippie as I expected. I was married to hippie chicks twice, so Ive got a soft spot in my stomach for anything organic. Im also always on the lookout for good pastry to have with the cappuccinos I make on my home coffee machine. So it was only natural for me to pop into Bread Wise for a couple baked goods when I was taking a long bicycle ride that brought me through Ivanhoe.
Bread Wise wasnt bad, but it didnt knock my riding socks off. The selection was pretty much what youd find at a standard bakeshop — I was hoping for more of a funky, Whole Earth Catalogue vibe. I try to order novel things when Im at a place thats new to me, but Bread Wise didnt have anything out of the ordinary. I settled for a raspberry muffin and horn-shaped, blueberry-filled pastry that looked like a combo of a croissant and a Danish. Both were pleasant tasting, well-cooked and not too costly at $6.50 total for the pair. Nothing here grabbed me so much that Id feel compelled to come back, even if I didnt live way on the other side of the Melbourne metro area
