  Visited here on Saturday with my wife and had a very middling experience, made all the more disappointing by the fact that our visit came after a friend’s recommendation. The positive about this place is the actual chocolate, with a wide range of old favourites and unique new treats to try. The chocolate is smooth and silky and has a rich flavour.

  Unfortunately, my overwhelming memory will be of the service; when we arrived, we placed our order for hot chocolates and went about perusing the chocolate displays. As we presented to finalise our order, a regular customer came in behind us with his son; what followed was this gentleman effectively having his drink made, paid for and a free sample being provided while we watched and waited to be served, all under the watch of the gentleman I would presume to be the senior team member in the store. When the hot chocolate finally arrived, it was scalding hot (requiring around half an hour to safely consume) and lacking in flavour. The gentleman serving us apologised for the wait, a delay he was wholey responsible for. While the rewarding of loyalty by a small business is important, to do so to the detriment of potential new customers is ultimately the reason why we shall not return.

  High end, pure decadence, boutique chocolates. Perfect for that extra special gift. Have visited a few times and enjoyed the way the staff are happy to help with deciding what to choose. All the range is made locally in Melbourne.
  This is the time of year I look for quality gifts for Christmas and I’m sure I’ll be putting quite a few Chocolatier hampers together!
