Popped in before going shopping and grabbed a couple of chicken burgers and a cheese burger with fries. Food didnt take too long to arrive and when it did it was all tasty. I had the chicken burger which was nice but when I tried my daughters cheese burger I enjoyed that even more. We would go back and enjoy again
Have been meaning to try this burger joint for a while, as I frequently drive past it, and although it doesn’t look very busy/popular, I was glad I stopped by one cold night for a quick dinner, as it’s one of the better burgers I’ve had in Melbourne for a while. The Phar Lap burger was a great little burger that hit all the right notes for me. The bun is soft, cheese is well melted on a meat patty that is crispy on one side. The tomato separates the patty from the lettuce so the lettuce isn’t soaked in oil and it makes me feel relatively healthier (although I acknowledge that could be self-deception). The pickle and sauces also bring a nice balance in taste to the burger. The beer battered chips were ok, could’ve done with a little more salt, but easily fixed with tomato sauce that’s placed considerately on each table. Will definitely be back.
