This fantastic Dessert Bar has both Ice cream and desserts as well. They are really friendly, except the food is a little bit pricey, but apart from that, it’s a very nice dessert parlour.

The super friendly people from Brazen Brownies & Dessert Bar have opened a second store in Harp Village, Kew East. With a huge Hawaiian mural along one wall, the tropical vibe gives the place a warm and welcoming environment. Their artisan gelato is a great accompaniment for Brazen’s signature brownies, with everything made on-site. Generous helpings, great service. Special mention for double chocolate brownie gelato paired with blackberry sorbetto!

Got two brownies to taste – a signature choc and chocolate hazelnut. They are $5 each or $15 a slab if you can get away with just one flavour. The lady owner was really friendly and informative. Slabs are packaged and sealed to extend the dates for up to a month (though they probably won’t last that long!). We also went back and got a slab of the blondie and peanut brownie for Mother’s Day.Rankings so far:1. Berry blondie. Great flavour, but would’ve liked more berry than the jam swirl on top.2. Signature chocolate – moist and rich, but not too sweet.3. Salted caramel peanut – it is pretty sweet, but nice in small portions with something to balance it out like vanilla ice cream.4. Hazelnut – couldn’t really taste the hazelnut, but the chocolate flavour was still good. The hazelnut spread is made in-store which is nice.
