This venue was recommended by our gorgeous friend Emma who told us we’d get a good meal here in a nice atmosphere. Emma was right. We found ourselves a lovely and slightly elevated booth near the window. It was nice and sunny outside and thus it was very pleasant in that spot.
Waited over an hour for our food only to then be told that the chefs have gone home and they had forgotten about our order.
Was then offered crisps and leftover bread rolls for dinner instead.
A horrible first impression of what seemed like a good pub.
Packed to the brim on a Monday night, the Harp Hotel has a very popular trivia night! So much so, we were seated at a trestle table. Not the greatest, but when space is an issue I see why it is that way. As the hotel was rather busy, food was a bit of a wait, but not overly long that I felt the need to question the waiters. Bar service was good, staff were friendly and very prompt. Trivia was also good, some questions a bit hard. Did have a lovely meal though, unable to finish it due to not being as hungry as I thought I was. Otherwise, will definitely come back again to sample more of the food.
Seniors menu excellent; Aussi lamb cutlets did not disappoint. Included drink made great value. Staff friendly and obliging.
Our group of 15 was pre-booked and all went smoothly with plenty of room; included bread rolls a nice touch
Negative: coffee too slow in coming
No one goes to the Harp for food, #harpsundays.
UPDATE: the chicken parma is to DIE FOR! I love how they do half serves because its perfect. Can not wait to go back 🙂
2/5 Had the salt and pepper squid. Was disappointed as it was extremely bland. Could not taste any salt or pepper. Atmosphere was good, service average.
This is where my family go for pub foods more than 6yrs now. Amazing food and lovely staffs. Good choices of tap beers too. We just love the steaks, chips and kids chicken nuggets. The most I missed is beef Wellington that I had it ages ago. I hope they can put it back on special menu There are gaming room too for entertainment. Weekend live music is awesome
