Gosh, I was blown away by the food at the Harp hotel and honestly Im surprised to hear myself say that. I ordered the lamb cutlets and they were cooked perfectly, beautiful sides of a mash and salad couldnt have asked for more. My friend was also really happy with the fish on the specials
menu with great presentation. Great work!
To sum it up, average food for an above average price. Fish & chips with salad was $23.90, the fish was fairly flavourless deep fried, i’ve had better from my local shop, the rest standard fare, nothing special. To be fair though, most other competing ‘pub’ bistros around are not much better, maybe bigger servings.
On the plus side they have free entertainment on weekend & some week nights, not much else going on around this part of town so it has become a go to venue. I suppose they need to charge a premium for food & drink to pay the people & keep it free for patrons.
