Tucked away in a side street just off High Street Kew, Sparechair Cafe is a cafe that is a social enterprise that puts any surplus into running activities and groups for the local community. Sparechair is opened right next to the Kew Neighbourhood Learning Centre and serves a variety of pastries and baked goodies. We popped in hoping to grab a coffee on the go towarm us up in this cold weather. No staff were seen as we entered the cafe and it wasn’t until a staff had returned from the storage room. As we waited for our coffee, we noticed the staff leaving the coffee machine running and disappearing into the kitchen. Another staff had taken over and served us our coffee. Pretty disappointed to be honest. The coffee was far worst than lukewarm, no coffee aroma and fairly weak. The sugar in my friends cup of coffee hadn’t even dissolved when he finished.
