I’ve tried a couple of fish and chipperies in the area and this used to be the closest one to me and the best. It’s changed hands twice and the quality has suffered. The drinks fridge is turned off many times. The scallops are tiny and the price has gone up. While the price doesn’t concern me as much, I do not think it’s as good a place as it once was.
Been to a few fish and chip joints in the area and this would probably be the best one. Fish is fresh, I know he cuts this own flake. Chips are good with the option of chicken salt. Not the best ive had but I dont live near a beach so this will do for my local.

This is the second time we have used this shop since they changed hands last year and both times we have been disgusted. The previous owners were great. The new owners have hiked the prices and dropped the quality. We won’t be back (unless they learn to cook properly).
Delicious. Everything is great and you get so much for what you pay for. Great chips which are crunchy and are actually well salted, I love their fisherman’s basket and they’re lunch deals are cheap as! Great service too which is friendly and welcoming, this is rather rare and this is also why we go here. Would recommend to all! They also give you more than what the pack has i.e extra potato cake as a thank you sometimes, which is a generous touch for retuning customers.
