  Reliable Tasty Fair. I have now eaten lunch with my partner at Quintessence three times over a 6 month period. So that is 6 meals randomly selected over time and I can say that this cafe consistently serves up a delicious meal. It’s fusion food where the traditional meets Sri Lankan/ Indian sub continent, Greece and Turkey. Salads bright and fresh with plenty of nice little taste surprises.Just right serving sizes. Spicing, herbs and accompaniments harmonize.Individually a, slow braised Ox cheek, Greek Salad, Samosa, Roti wrap (filled with either a chicken or beef curry) beer battered F&C. All yumbo.

  Waste of time. This restaurant was a disappointment! The service was good when we first walked in and took a seat we had our drink orders taken straight away but that were it ended we waited about 15 minutes for our coffees which wouldn’t be an issue if it was busy but there was one other table of 4 in the place after finally getting our coffees and placing our orders I had a warm chicken salad and my friend the calamari these took over half an hour to arrive, although it was tasty it was way over priced for what we received. I had a small amount of salad with about 4 bits of chicken and my friend had maybe 5 small pieces of calamari. All I can say is we left disappointed and definitely wouldn’t return.
