What a great place! It’s my second visit in two days and the food was at the same great standard as the first time. The fish I had came in a light crispy batter. Not oily at all. I am a very fussy chip eater too and reject most, but not these. They are great. I also had a salad which was made with super fresh ingredients. They are open all afternoon so a late lunch is not a problem. Finally, unlike a lot of eateries in Lakes Entrance, there is no step to get in. It’s wheelchair friendly. Lovely friendly staff too.

The seafood platter was very nice, but I personally didn’t think the scallops needed to be battered (maybe grilled and drizzled with some sort of sauce or dressing). The fish and chips were good as well as the prawns.The cutlery was very clean and the food was well presented, and I was surprised you could dine in!
Driving into Lakes Entrance I asked Siri to navigate to the best fish & chips and here is where I ended up. The first thing I noticed is the place doesn’t smell like a greasy take away place. Options for take away and dining in. Menu is everything you would expect. Fish was well cooked and chips were great. Well seasoned and tartare sauce was great. Very impressed.
Loved this place !!Its situated on a very buzzing street which has lots of fish and chips shops but this is a gem.Ordered gummy shark and chips. Shark was crispy and not at all oily. Chips were good and quantity of chips was enough for 2 people. The food was reasonably priced and very well presented. Staff is also very friendly and service is quick. Overall, a must visit place if you are in lakes entrance.
We came here because of the glowing reviews on the internet and we were not disappointed. The fish, chips and salad were the best and cheapest that we’d eaten for a long time and the cafe was full of happy customers like us!
