I dined at this hotel about 6 months ago and ordered a porterhouse steak with a seafood topper, and it was absolutely fantastic, the topper consisted of prawns, calamari, and mussels with a delicious seafood sauce, and the steak melted in my mouth, I cant wait to return 10/10
If you want to passively smoke whilst eating your meal, then this is the place for you. Also if you want to get food poisoning from being served raw meat then again this is the right bistro for you.
The service was so poor that once you got your meal no one came near you after this.
Extremely disgusting place to eat!!
Keep away!!

Enjoyed our meals here. I had the Chicken Deluxe from the specials menu which was chicken stuffed with ham, salami and cheese. At first I was wondering where the cheese was, but I discovered it eventually. It was served with chips and salad, and the chips were nice too. The hot food was sufficiently hot and not lukewarm.
We had quite a wait for the meals to be served, but they all came out together. The service was friendly. Its not a fancy place and no special atmosphere, but its still good for a meal out. The menu was a little bit uninspiring to me though. Nothing very adventurous or different there.
If you want a casual dinner with mates and some good grub this is the place to go.
Went last night had the entree salt and pepper squid which was really nice seared squid with nice seasoning and yum dipping sauce. A lot better than squid I have had from more expensive restaurants.
Then I had the Parma with a double serve of salad, I wasn’t in the mood for chips. The Parma is one of the best I have had in a long time, certainly better than some other local pubs in the Yarra valley. It’s a pub bistro so if your expecting fine dineing don’t go there, this is a casual watering hole for a lot of people and I have seen it change a lot over the years, they have defiantly lifted their game in food and service. Even without being a busy Saturday night I had no problem with service. Hubby had the garlic prawns and he was loving it…said you could actually taste the garlic for once (he orders the prawns regularly at multiple restaurants).
Have 4 because it is a pub and not fine dineing.
This place has zero atmosphere, the door in the page photo leads to the front bar and has punters wandering through. The salads are pre prepared bowls of lettuce and is the same for a Parma, prawns or a roast. The mains came out before the entree was served. The (mildly) chilli prawns were 29 dollars with rubbery rice.
The table service was very good. The girls are friendly and go out of their way for you.
No Vegetarian dishes on their seniors menu – and not interested in serving any.
In this day and age very poor indeed
