I’ve been going here since moving to Lilydale in 2010 – tonight I placed an order by phone – when I went to collect it the prices varied from my estimate – fish up .50 cents, prawns up .80 cents – no mention of this when I placed the order (requested a new menu & they dont have any available) – my wages dont go up to be able to afford your price increase – you’ve lost me Yarra Valley Fish and Chips, also I was told 10-15 minute wait – ended up being 40-45 minutes!
Called in an order, picked it up, brought it home and we find they forgot our grilled fish we call and tell them and they say they will fix it.
We then drive back to the fish and chip shop, collect our food and get home to find they have now forgotten the dim sims.
Food was average as well and manager wasn’t at all apologetic about the mistakes made.
Will not be returning.
They have really great food at really good prices. I use to come here a lot and though they have changed hands since I was a kid they are still an amazing place for fish n’ chips
We get food from here about once every two weeks – always large servings – great burgers, good fish, always plenty of chips!! No danger of going hungry when you order from here.
Never had anything to complain about – much better than the nearby opposition!
We get grilled flake here on a weekly basis, it is the best grilled flake I’ve ever had! They always give us complementary chips. Amazing!
