Friendly staff and fast service. We had fried squid, duck and scotch fillet. The fried squid taste like frozen but my duck was very nice. My husband scotch fillet was average and it wasn’t medium rare.

Mixed results for us – service was slow, allow over 40 min for anything to arrive then there is the quality issues: bbq sauce on the parma, over cooked steak, rubbery prawns, cold serves etc. However many excuses that got muddled as well. Next time will read reviews. In Lorne? Keep looking.

Delicious espresso martinis! The food was wonderful, we had pork belly and tortellini which was to die for. Portions were a little small, but we didn’t have an entree, so maybe that would have satisfied us a little more. Service was friendly! Well done chef!

Arrived at 5:50 and were seated immediately as there were only two other guests in the restaurant. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 espresso martini deal during happy happy hour and they were average. We ordered the cheese board to share priced at $30 and were disappointed as there was very minimal cheeses on the plate, one being a blue vein cheese which neither myself or my friend liked. There were a few biscuits, small pieces of salami & prosciutto and some olives, definitely not worth the price. Every time we wanted a drink we had to flag the waitstaff down, considering we were the only two inside the restaurant (the other table of people being outside) we feel this was poor service. Overall the flavours on the cheese board were good, as was the wine. Might return again if I was in Lorne only because there are minimal dining options.

Cuda Late night drink in LorneCuda seems to be the only place in Lorne open late. Most eateries shut at 9 or 10. Cuda is open until 1 am,however their kitchen closed at 9 pm on the Tuesday night we visited. The waiter was accommodating and we put our order in a couple of minutes before 9.Indoor and outdoor seating is available and the venue is well furnished.Dinner was by candlelight. The menu has plenty of variety. The pan fried blue eye with curry muscles was flavoursome and not too spicy, while my wife’s calamari with dipping sauce had bite sized morsels that melted in your mouth without any chewy or stringy bits.We will be returning when we are next in Lorne.
