We walked out of an unappealing Italian restaurant because of grumpy staff and into this highly professional and enthusiastic vibe at Mestizo. We had no booking but the owner made things happen for us. Food was fantastic and tasty. We had the Provoleta, Ceviche, and Risotto which were excellent. The bartender even made a special hot cocktail for my girlfriend suffering from a cold, which made her feel so much better. The homemade Crostata was the icing on the cake

The smaller plates were really delicious especially the figs and both types of empanada . However, we found that the service at times was a bit confused as well as the larger plates which lacked the same clean and bright flavours of the smaller plates . Understand it’s a relatively new restaurant. Will only improve .

We had a beautiful dinner at Mestizo. The food was rich and delicious, and presented stylishly. The service was good, they were very knowledgeable about each of the dishes and gave us good advice.

Given how great the menu looked, we decided to leave the tough decision making up to the chef and went with the five course tasting menu. Loved the breadth and variety of Latin American cuisine. Highlights were the Higos (figs with sobrassada and pistachios), empanadas and the drinks menu (Americano and Fernet & Cola are a must try). An overall fun experience!
