Went for a dinner whilst having a weekend getaway in Lorne. Had a $50 voucher to dine here. Service: very good service. We did dine on a Sunday night and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Cost: is on the pricier end and without the $50 voucher I’m not sure the cost could be justified. Overall, a decent meal.

Pretty poor experience. Firstly, it took a bit of time to get orders taken, then it took an hour for the food to arrive and one of the side dishes were completely forgotten. All of this could typically be forgiven, however when you are paying $40-$50 per main that also require sides to complete the meal, this was a pretty bad experience. Other notes: the place has no atmosphere; the mains came with half a fried garlic & a seared tomato. The garlic I wasn’t sure what to do with (surely you wouldn’t want to eat it straight). The food was cooked to what I would describe as pub standard – slightly over cooked fish & overly seasoned chips. Save yourself the hassle and bill & just go to the pub. If you want to go somewhere a little nicer, I’d suggest Ipsos.
We ate here for breakfast, there was a lot to choose from. Hot food, pastries, cereal etc. Really nice. My soy latte wasn’t the best unfortunately but that’s personal taste. The restaurant was well setup and looked nice.
We had the most wonderful evening celebrating a birthday. From the attention and patience of the staff to the fine and flexible chefs, everything was great. We had dietary requests which were not only matched, but with lateral thinking improved on. My wife had an amazing steak and I had a perfectly prepared salmon. Both were so delicious.A birthday celebration we will remember very favourably.
