3.5/5 but marked up for Zomato. Decided to try this place despite the bad reviews as they date back awhile ago. Additionally, recent reviews seem more pleased with the food and service. Food: ordered the King Kong plate (Premium selection of seafood including two grilled calamari skewers, three tempura prawns & four octopus balls), Okonomiyaki (homemade low calorie, Japanese seafood & vegie pancake topped with Okonomiyaki sauce & mayo). Not sure if it really is ‘low cal’ as the pancake is fried/ deep fried- a tad misleading for consumers. We also ordered the Seaweed Green Salad and Queen Choice (5 nigiri, 3maki). I am not sure where the salad went as it never arrived to the table. Service: very good service, however, there was only my table and another set of diners at the restaurant.Price: quiet expensive for the amount of food served. However, Lorne overall is much more expensive than Melbourne.
