A real shocker. It was Saturday night and the dining area was half full. It took 1 hr 35 min for our bad meals to arrive. My partners chicken schnitzel and chips tasted disgusting, drowned in chicken salt. The steak I ordered even with all the gristle and bone would have no where near weighed that 400 gm. It was meant to be medium rare but was over cooked. No apologies forthcoming for lateness. To the waitresses credit she asked us is everything ok with reluctance, knowing she didn’t really want to hear the answer. They did discount our meal when we on leaving complained about the wait and quality of the meals.
Country at it’s best. Everything you want from a country pub, but most of the time struggle to find. Earthy down to earth character, cosy, friendly and great hearty meals.
Good grub. Great country pub styled food and great service, this pub has lovely bar and kitchen staff and even better locals! Cant wait to go back and id definitely recommend going in for a meal or even just a drink. Great atmosphere and overall relaxed afternoon!

Terrible Service!. Never before have I felt so offended by the actions of the horrible bar/wait staff. Not only did they start an argument with a 60yr old hearing impaired gentleman, but then continued to bad mouth him behind the bar, swear at him and other members of our party, bad mouth us to other customers, roll their eyes, throw paper towel at him and then make accusations that required other members of the party to get involved because their actions were not only unprofessional, but disgusting, disrespectful and out of order. Do not eat here if you want to enjoy a meal without feeling threatened! There are not enough words to discribe how bad the service was…!
Not too much to complain about with this pub. A nice wholesome meal few cold beers all good!
