Love the name, not the venue. Lacks style and ambience. On a very cold winters day a warm homely cafe would be ideal, but this one is far from it. Burger was very nice, but it stops there. Dead flowers, dirty tables, dirty toilets and it needs warmth and perhaps a little background music. Better places to try in Maldon.

Raisin toast was cold and served without butter. Chips were cold. Drinks were forgotten. Waiters seemed to have no idea what food was going where, and spent a lot of time wandering around aimlessly with plates of food and asking each table if they were waiting on anything. Maybe that’s why the food was cold? It came across as pretty sloppy and unprofessional. Overall the place is a massive rip-off tourist trap. Don’t bother.
Worst curry ever. My partner & I stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of a local shopkeeper and both ordered the chicken curry. It was truly horrible. The chicken was a form of preserved chicken loaf that had been sliced and tipped into a jar of commercial curry sauce. We couldn’t eat it.
We complained to the kitchen but were not offered a refund.
Hugely disappointing, and a waste of money. Please don’t eat here. Support a cafe that respects food and its patrons.
Food was tasteless service was very substandard had to ask waitress to just bring us some cutlery so we could actually eat. Food was greasy, oily and average. All in all would give it 1/10. 3 of us went one rated it 3 one rated it 4 and I rated it 1. The owner needs to pull his finger out and hire some real staff who know what they are doing. SHAME SHAME SHAME.
Have been here a few times. Food is generally nice, decent portion sizes. Nachos could do with more flavour. Wait staff could be more attentive to large tables spending a lot of money & it would be nice to be given table water without having to ask. And a smile occasionally! Overall ok but not much competition in town.
Worth the visit. We stopped off for some morning tea and ordered a coffee, hot chocolate and some scones. The hot chocolate was really lovely served in a tall glass mug topped with a marshmellow. The coffee also hit the spot. The scones were served with jam and cream and were extremely good value.
