I visited Alains Patisserie in Malvern many years ago. I was in the area last week and was very pleased to see this shop still open! However when I come in the store I bought my usual Almond croissant and it was terrible. Not the almond croissants I remember. It was dry and croissants were doughty. The cakes looked plastic and store bought, where as they use to look home baked. Very sad to see this happen to what was a great local business.
I have been a regular customer here over the years and have sampled plenty of the offerings. Veronique bakes the most divine pies, authentic almond croissants and yummy macarons. She also makes delicious ribbon sandwiches and generously filled baguettes. The prices are very reasonable and the coffee is generally good. Staff are friendly too.
