This place is amazing. Small if you want to eat in, however the food is delicious. This is now my new favourite Japanese food place. Ginger calamari salad , yakitori, nigiri, chicken teriyaki and they have a new wasabi dish which is Devine. Everything we had was fantastic.
It’s been a long time since I’ve visited this place and not much has changed. It’s still the same owner and still the same credible Japanese food.
We ordered the spicy salmon bento, katsu curry, vegetable spring rolls, chicken gyozas, agedashi tofu and kaarage chicken.
Pros: katsu chicken was crispy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside, curry sauce had wonderful flavour. Bento box had a variety of seaweed, pickles, edamame, kimchi and chive to offset the richness of the salmon. Kaarage and tofu were cooked perfectly.
Cons: katsu curry did not have any pickled daikon radish to cut through the heaviness of the dish. The sauce on the gyozas is better off as a side accompaniment to be added according to the diner’s preference. Spring rolls were a bit underwhelming with only carrot and glass noodles. Maybe the addition of shitake and cabbage would add more bulk and flavour.
In terms of dining experience, it’s probably better suited for couples or small groups as it is a very small space. There’s only about a handful of tables that can fit so it’s an intimate setting.
Overall, a lovely dining experience.
After our first dining experience here, weve gone back religiously. The food is nothing short of amazing and the staff are the friendliest bunch. Please book ahead as this little gem of a place will be sure to be busy!
Very simplistic looking place. Nothing grand, or eye catching about it. Do not let that be the reason to you keep away. Staff are very friendly, and the food here is lovely. Great Japanese flavours. Everything is great, and I’m yet to pick a bad dish from here!

Tremendous local Japanese. Quick, well priced with very authentic flavours. Bento very generous and full of flavour. Book in advance as tiny and popular.
The negatives: it is a small establishment, with take away bento box as your plate and the price is leaning towards restaurant than Cafe… However,
It is yummy and unusual Japanese food varieties. We ordered the Spicy Pork Belly which similar to bimbimbap, spicy calamari (which is fried, Unfortunately), Yakiniku bento and spicy Salmon.
Overrated, fish seemed fresh at first taste but left a weird taste in my mouth after. There was a scale or two left on the salmon, gross! Sushi was more expensive than sashimi for equivalent quantity. Opening hours listed open all the way, I took a trip down specially to try this place cos of the good ratings and found out the kitchen was closed. To be fair, waitress was nice and said she could heat up dumplings for me, but basically overpriced, overrated, bad ambience. Never coming here again.
