We use to come here and was always happy with the food. But seems management has changed since our last visit. Menu was very uninspiring. Compared to the local competition, its very lacking.
Soggy toast from the very wet poached egg. And waffles are the supermarket bought Toscano brand ones just add some fruit and charge a ridiculous sum for it. I’m happy to pay for it if they were freshly made. Coffee was ok, nothing to rave home about.

Terrible experience. Slow, clumsy service, a long wait and the food, when it finally arrived, was appalling. Yuk, won’t be going back ever!

While the menu options initially excited us, unfortunately this cafe just didn’t live up to our expectations. I ordered the ‘peasant’s breakfast’, two poached eggs with a dusting of dukkah, halloumi, spinach and toasted sourdough. The eggs were cooked well but didn’t have much flavour, the halloumi was a lower quality variety, and the dukkah was sparingly applied. My partner ordered ‘St. Benedictine’, poached eggs, hollandaise and with smoked salmon instead of beef. The smoked salmon was acceptable but the hollandaise looked and tasted like it was out of a packet. We wouldn’t waste our time again.

Very attentive service, great food and reasonable prices. Generous serves and attention to detail. A new local for us. I have written this sentence to get to 140 characters!

Good cafe for breakfast. The menu is good and varied. Eaten here a few times and enjoyed each time. Service is great too. They have been great even when super busy.

I came with my girlfriend for coffee around Christmas and it was okay, good coffee but the atmosphere was a bit off the man who I think was the owner was a bit pushy to convince us to buy food…
Came back for breakfast on Saturday two weeks ago and was so disappointed with the food I didn’t know how someone could get poached eggs on toast so wrong… Dry hard ‘warm bread’ and rubbery watery eggs, with all the stringy bits I would remove hanging off the plate. My girlfriend got the chicken and avocado toasted sandwich, which wasn’t remotely toasted and cold inside, with the same stale bread… most of her chicken had huge bloody bits left in as well! The coffee seems to have gone downhill as well not at all what I remember. I hate leaving bad reviews but this place deserves it. Never again, better off staying home to be honest :/

Nice cosy place with friendly service. Coffee was a bit weaker than what I would normally have at sensory lab- advertised on window. I feel it is a bit confused with what type of cafe it is wanting to be.
