4.5. Had the Mexicana woodfire pizza, homemade gnocchi pollo funghi, spaghetti marinara, and Nutella pizza.
As with woodfire pizza you get that nice uneven toast to the dough. The Mexicana was topped with large slices of salami, roast capsicum and some chili. A simple pizza that will satisfy if you prefer ‘less is more’ types of toppings.
The spaghetti marinara nailed the very basics to a good pasta, the spaghetti is well coated with quality olive oil, this really makes a difference though subtle and stands out compared to other restaurants.
The finisher, Nutella pizza, was the killer. A huge calzone filled with generous amount of Nutella, topped with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Every bite was sinful with joy. While the Nutella had a slightly hardened texture, the thickness of the Nutella filling in each bite more than compensates it.
